I. Amputation Hand of Orangutan “Pengky”

 

History :

Pengky is orangutan from Sintang West Borneo, male and 6 years old and BW 17 kg. He has been resued by BKSDA in Sintang but went he is BKSDA,he escape from this cage and climbing the pole of electricity and get the shock. The left hand, abdoment, neck, femur and the testis with the penis are burn.

 

Condition :

1. still eat
   
2. no diare
   
3. no fever
   
4. still active
   
5. HR and RT normal
   

 

Treatment :

1. Atropin (0.03 mg /kg SC)
   
2. Ketamin (10 mg /kg IM)
   
3. Xylazin (0.5 mg /kg IM)
   
4. Amoxicillin (20 mg / kg IM)
   
5. Iodine povidone
   
6. Clavamox (15 mg / kg PO q12h)
   
7. Sakatonik liver (5ml PO q24h)
   

Diet :

1. Fruits àbanana , rambutan, papaya + papaya leaf, cabbage
   
2. Vegetables à cassava, tofu, eggs
